Montessori Music Shareware was created to offer music that truly belongs in Montessori environments: intentional, respectful, real, and musically authentic.

This project is an invitation to educators, schools, and families to use music consciously, as a living part of the prepared environment.

What Is Montessori Music Shareware?

Montessori Music Shareware is a music initiative designed specifically for Montessori environments and shared freely with the Montessori community wolrldwide.

The music is composed and produced with deep respect for:

• The developmental stages of the child

• The Montessori principles of order, freedom, and concentration

• The importance of real, well-tuned musical experiences

It is not background noise.
It is purposeful music created to support daily life in Montessori classrooms and homes.

Why Music Matters in Montessori

In early childhood, whatever the child listens to becomes part of them.

Poorly tuned or artificial sounds can distort musical perception.
Authentic, well-crafted music nurtures:

• Concentration

• Inner order

• Emotional balance

• Sensitivity to beauty and harmony

For this reason, this project promotes the use of real instruments and intentional compositions, rather than toy instruments or synthetic sounds.

Music in Montessori should be as carefully prepared as any material on the shelf.
